What does DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification mean for K.I.T Group and its customers?
K.I.T. Group has organized congresses and events worldwide for more than 30 years. DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 is the most prestigious certification in the event agency world. It forms an excellent basis for our internal quality management system and helps us to improve our organization. Clients understand that companies which hold this certification have undergone a rigorous accreditation process and that in the end, the customer benefits from better quality.
Why did K.I.T. Group decide to get the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification?
As German author Philip Rosenthal, once said: “If you stop improving, you stop being relevant”. We wished to have the quality of our work “officially”recognised. We are working hard to deliver the best result to our clients, and this certification is proof that our work matches the highest industry standards.
How did you get certified and for how long is it valid?
In a nutshell, companies achieve certification if they can comply with a detailed list of requirements specified in DIN EN 9001:2015. Our daily work is documented in detail and translated into procedures and processes. An official auditing firm confirms the clarity of the company’s methods and will make a similar check annually after initial approval.
What tasks do you take on as QMB (Quality Management Representative)?
Together with our QM Core Team (and the support of all employees), I am responsible for the development, implementation, and confirmation of all work processes. I make sure that our work keeps improving. I am also responsible for the preparation, execution, and follow-up of the audits. My job is only possible when all employees are working together as a team, with all members supporting each other and ensuring quality in our work.
What has changed for your company since certification?
This is difficult to say as we have only recently become certified. However, everyone learned a lot about quality management. For example, during the preparation phase of our first audit, we held regular meetings for employees to inform them about quality standards. Our main message was “Quality is not just a buzzword, it is essential, and we must all contribute to it”. The message stuck.
What kind of benefits does the certification bring to K.I.T Group and its clients?
K.I.T. Group is one among very few Professional Conferece Organizers with the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certification; it makes us stand out from other event agencies. Clients know that they can trust us and that K.I.T. Group always delivers top-notch events.
Quality at K.I.T Group is more than a buzzword: it is a measurable fact, confirmed each year by an external auditor. The next audit will take place in June 2019.
Making our customers happy is priority number one. Quality is central to our strategy because we are always looking for new ways to improve customer satisfaction.
