The International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) is a professional medical association with an aim to promote clinical and basic science, research, education and advocacy in childhood and adolescent diabetes. Typically, ISPAD holds an annual conference in various international locations. However, in 2020, five months before the 46th Annual ISPAD Conference was planned to be held in Abu Dhabi, ISPAD decided to change their October face-to-face event into a virtual edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They entrusted K.I.T. Group with the challenge of planning the conference, which included ensuring a high level of participation, running an engaging programme, and generating a positive financial outcome. 

The result exceeded all expectations, and here is how we did it:
