Mandatory Internships – Association Management

We are looking for an intern to support the Association Management Division at our K.I.T. Group Berlin Head Office within these time periods:

  • January/Februar 2020 until June/July 2020
  • August/September 2020 until January/February 2021

Our Association Management Division is responsible for a range of non-profit medical/scientific societies, based in Austria, Belgium, United Kingdom, United States and other locations.

Position offered

The successful applicant will be responsible for a myriad of duties supporting AM’s structural development. This internship will offer you the opportunity to be exposed to sponsorship and donor cultivation, research, events planning, and the day-to-day operations of non-profit, charitable organizations. Keen attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to exercise sound judgment and confidentiality are required.

Association Management Interns will assist with development and communications needs under supervision of the AM Head of Division and report directly to the department’s association managers. The Intern will be responsible for:

  • Association information management
  • Writing/editing association communications
  • Writing/editing association communications
  • Digital and social marketing assistance
  • Event planning assistance
  • Research and analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will be a mature, organized, detail-oriented undergraduate or recent graduate, enrolled in a degree and a desire to develop research and communications skills while learning about association development. Applicants should possess strong oral, written and organizational skills, as well as prior work experience with social media tools and preferably data management experience. Please note that in order to apply for this position, a 6-month internship must be a compulsory part of the study program you are currently enrolled in.

Requirements:

  • Enrolled in a degree
  • Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Advanced Excel & Database skills, strong IT skills would be a plus
  • Experience in setting up social marketing campaigns, WordPress is a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English (required)
  • German (optional)
  • Flexibility, ability to work in a team

Payment

K.I.T. Group will pay the successful applicant EUR 450 per month.
